Magento: built for complex webshops
Magento is mainly used by webshops with a large catalog, multiple store views or B2B structures. That brings its own challenges in customer service: one customer can have multiple accounts, orders can involve partial shipments, and prices can vary per customer group.
The assistant accounts for this by retrieving the full order context for every question: which store view, which customer group, which partial shipments. That way the customer gets an answer that matches their specific situation, even if you serve multiple markets or brands from one Magento installation.
Partial shipments and multiple deliveries
A typical Magento scenario: an order with five items is shipped in two deliveries. For a “where’s my order” question, the answer is then not one status, but two. The assistant recognizes this and explains which part is already on its way and which part is still to come.

Connecting via a Magento integration

Activate the integration and copy the access token.
Paste the token along with your base URL into YDM.

Does this work with Magento 2?
Yes. The integration uses the Magento 2 REST API via an integration token with Sales permissions.

Yes. The assistant recognizes the relevant store view per order, so answers match the right market or language.
Can the assistant create credit memos?
The assistant prepares refunds, but the final credit memo remains an action taken by a team member. That’s a deliberate safety choice.
